The Great Space Pitch | Event
About this Event
Students in many high schools across the world’s second largest school jurisdiction (NSW) and beyond have engaged in the Australian Virtual Astronaut (AVA) Challenge, the Powerhouse 1 program and/or utilised the new iSTEM ‘design for space’ course. The Great Space Pitch is a shark tank style pitch event for finalists of the Australian Virtual Astronaut (AVA) Challenge or for students who have participated in the iSTEM course or the Powerhouse 1 program. Selected high school students will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to leaders in space in the four category areas:
- Earth Observation
- Robotics
- Moon Environments
- Food Production in Space, and
- Artificial Intelligence in Space.
Judges will be invited from the space industry and from those involved in the National Space Workforce initiative.
